Nokia, the Finnish giant, which is now owned by Microsoft, has been manufacturing high end budget friendly, smart phones and is among the leading manufacturers of Smartphone has come up with another low price Smartphone, the NokiaLumia 530 that has good specifications and is pocket friendly also. This smartphone has been launched in India and is available for sale at leading stores.

The new NokiaLumia 530 is the latest addition to the low budget Windows Smartphones which has already created some buzz in the market. Earlier, Nokia launched Lumia 520, which is the best sellingLumia Smartphone till date.

The new NokiaLumia 530 comes with a 4 inch capacitive multi touch screen and has a resolution of 480*854 pixels with 16M true colors. The Lumia 520 also has a 4 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen which is sensitive enough to be used with long nails or gloves on. The screen has a resolution of 480*800 pixels with a pixel density of 235 ppi. Both the Smartphones come with a scratch resistant screen.


The new NokiaLumia 530 has an impressive 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a RAM of 512MB. On the other hand, the NokiaLumia 520 has a 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 Adreno 305 processor that comes with 512MB RAM.


Nokia Lumia 530 has the latest windows 8.1 that has some impressive features like the word flow keyboard that makes typing faster, changing the background of the start screen etc.

Lumia 520 runs on Windows 8 operating system that can be upgraded to the latest windows 8.1.


Both the Smartphones comes with a 5 megapixel auto focus rear camera. Surprisingly, both the phones do not possess a secondary camera. This is a thumb down for Lumia because at this price range, other brands are offering secondary camera. Also, there is no flash in either of the two phones.


The Lumia 530 has an internal storage of 4GB that is expandable up to 128GB via a MicroSD card. With NokiaLumia 520, you get an internal storage of 8GB that can be expanded to 64GB again, with a MicroSD card.


Both the Smartphones come with various connectivity options. The Lumia 530 and 520 have 3, GPRS with Edge, WI-Fi/WI-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth connectivity and more. They also come with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Talking about the SIM, the Lumia 530 supports dual GSM micro SIM and the Lumia 520 comes with a single SIM.


The new NokiaLumia 530 boasts of a 1430mAh lithium-ion removable battery. The Lumia 520 also has the same battery features. The battery gives a maximum standby time of 16 hours. Maximum talk time on 2G is 17.4 hours while on 3G is 9.7 hours. It has a maximum music playback time of 52 hours. While browsing over WI-Fi, the battery will last for approximately 7 hours. The Smartphones do not offer wireless charging.
